A: Hi Jeanne, "Confectioner's glaze" always contains shellac, which is a resin made by the lac bug (similar to bees and bees wax). For this reason we don't classify items that contain confectioner's glaze as vegan. this item contains both confectioner's glaze and beeswax - so 2 ingredients made by bugs!

Q: Just wondering how many bags come in a 10-lb bulk case? According to my math, it would be approximately 50 bags (3.1 oz each), correct? Trying to buy "healthy" gifts from friends whom we will be visiting overseas! Thanks!

A: Hi Michelle, The 10 lb bulk case is just 1 big bag of unwrapped jelly beans (approximately 3,612 beans). The largest pack size we offer in retail packaging is 12-packs of the 3.1 oz bags (approximately 70 beans per bag). Hope this helps! Let us know if you have any other questions.

A: Hi! We asked the manufacturer your question about Snapple All-Natural Jelly Belly jelly beans and the manufacturer stated the following: "We do not use GMO in our products." We have updated the product information on all Jelly Belly products to reflect this. :)

Q: Hi, would any of the color added by derived from vegetable in the cabbage family? I know that cabbage, red and purple cabbage are used in natural colors and we are allergic to anything in the cabbage family so we need to be careful. Thank you.

Q: My daughter has a reaction to artificial food dyes. Usually when a product says color added that means artificial. Do these jelly beans have artificial color?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, April 25, 2019 at 04:18:56 PM EDT.
A: Hi Michele, that is a really great question. We reached out to them earlier today to obtain further clarification. According to Jelly Belly, "Color Added" is the titanium dioxide used for their logo on the outside of their candy. It is FDA approved for human consumption, as it is a naturally occurring substance that is used extensively in the food industry to make things white in color. We have a number of products at Natural Candy Store that contain titanium dioxide as a natural ingredient. We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
