Q: We are hosting a food resource fair for people with food allergies. We are looking for candy for a trick-or-treat part of the food fair. Is this product made at a nut-free facility?
Answered by Irene, September 24, 2014 at 05:33:41 PM EDT.
A: Hi Julia,
This product is made in a nut-free facility. The facility does not process any of the eight major allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, wheat, milk, egg, soy, fish, or shellfish/crustaceans).

Q: How soft are these? I am looking for a mint soft enough to form around a small capsule to give to my horse.

A: Hello,
This mint is not pliable. It remains hard until you bite into it and then it melts in your mouth as you eat it. Perhaps a fruit chew would work for your purposes?

Q: Hello what is the cream of tarter used in the angel mints? And are they soft?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, January 15, 2016 at 02:12:53 PM EST.
A: Hi Zsirtaj, Cream of tartar is a common ingredient, which is a by-product of grapes in wine-making. Angel Mints have a melt-in-your-mouth consistency. They are firm at first but when you bite in, they immediately start to melt and become soft. They are similar to "butter mints" candies, but contain no butter or other milk products. Hope that helps!

Q: How can I keep my mints fresh and soft?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, September 11, 2020 at 01:41:52 PM EDT.
A: Hi Berna, thank you for reaching out! We contacted Angel Mints and this is what they said back "We recommend using an air-tight container (i.e. Tupperware). This helps keep the Angel Mints soft. The Angel Mints will lose moisture over time which can make them hard but still good to eat." We hope this helps. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

Q: Does this mint have a chalk-like texture or is it rock hard?

A: Hi Hilda! These have a chalk-like "after dinner mint" texture that melts in your mouth. Super yummy!

Q: Are these non-GMO?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, April 18, 2018 at 12:21:27 PM EDT.
A: Hello! Thank you for your question about Angel Mints! The manufacturer provided a very helpful answer: "As you may know, the Angel Mint is fat free, gluten free, soy free and salt free. Our recipe does utilize 3oz of non-high fructose corn syrup per 30 pound batch of Angel Mints. That equates to .00625oz per 30 pound batch. Our corn syrup supplier certifies that the corn syrup is non-high fructose, but can't make the claim that it is non-GMO."
