A: Hi, We're hopeful Toonie Moonie submits the paperwork to the Feingold Association soon! In the meantime, like all the products we carry, it's made with strictly natural ingredients so meets the requirements of the Feingold program even if it is has not been officially accepted on their food lists yet.

Q: Is this allowed on the Feingold diet?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, May 23, 2016 at 08:35:34 PM EDT.
A: Hi, So sorry for the delayed response! We know the Feingold Association is requested ToonieMoonie to fill out the paperwork to be added to the Accepted list, but we haven't heard back about the status. However, even if they aren't officially on the Feingold accepted foods list, all the products we carry should be suitable for the Feingold Diet, at least for Stage 2, since they are are all-natural!

Q: What negative effects does the warm weather have on this product during shipping?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, August 1, 2016 at 09:27:13 PM EDT.
A: Hi Dan, Extended or extreme hot temps could affect the texture, possibly deflating it, making it thinner and decreasing long-term shelf life. However, in general it can withstand some heat without a problem.

Q: If you want to use this to make rice crispy treats and the recipe calls for 4 cups mini marshmallows, how many tubs of this would you need? What is the conversion?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, October 20, 2016 at 11:03:08 PM EDT.
A: Hi, One tub is the right amount for 1 recipe of rice crispy treats. Various recipes online for making treats with marshmallow creme or fluff call for 7 oz to replace 4 cups mini marshmallows. The manufacturer of Toonie Moonie advises us the actual contents is 7-8 oz (even though current packaging says 6oz, they overfill).

Q: Is this gluten free?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, April 2, 2017 at 10:39:09 PM EDT.
A: Hi Nicole, As of 2016, the alcohol used in the vanilla extract was tested gluten-free but derived from wheat. Toonie Moonie was looking into having to a different vanilla not derived from wheat, and we are checking in with them to see if there are any updates.

Q: Is this product Kosher?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, November 20, 2017 at 10:36:43 AM EST.
A: Hi! We asked the manufacturer if Toonie Moonie Organic Marshamallow Creme is safe for peanut and tree nut allergies, and this is what they stated: "The only product made in our facility is our organic marshmallow creme." There are no peanut or tree nut ingredients and these allergens are not listed under Allergen information from the manufacturer (egg is listed, but no nuts). Therefore, this product should be perfectly safe for someone with peanut and tree nut allergies. Enjoy! :)

Q: I am purchasing this product as part of a larger order from your store, but I will not be using the Marshmallow Creme until May 8th to make rice krispie treats. I was wondering if the product would be okay until then since it doesn't have preservatives and how it should be stored? Thank you for your time and attention to my concerns.
Answered by Natural Candy Store, April 16, 2018 at 02:37:17 PM EDT.
A: Hello! Sorry for the delay in response!! We asked the manufacturer your question and they stated the following: "Our product has a shelf life of 365 days. The package is coded with an expiration date. The product is shelf-stable. It should be stored between 50-65 degrees, namely, a cool dry place, It is recommended to store in the refrigerator, after opening.
The product can have a separation in the bottom of the container in it's shelf life, that is the tapioca syrup. It's still good. Mix together and it's yummy." Hope this helps!

Q: Will this work well to build gingerbread houses?
Answered by Natural Candy Store, December 4, 2019 at 08:27:07 AM EST.
A: Hi Pamela, that is a great question about the Toonie Moonie Organic Marshmallow Creme. We would love to say that it works, however, we don't see this product as a good option. It does not harden up and has the capability of melting at a certain temperature. Sorry :( Please let us know if you have any other questions. :)
