David Noll discovered Manuka Honey while traveling to far off New Zealand with a guitar in one hand and a surfboard in the other. After just a few days in New Zealand, David fell in love beautiful Kiwi girl named Linda and her native country. What was originally intended to be a short visit, led to a thirteen-year stay, including a marriage and the birth of three of their eventual six children. Eventually they moved back to his hometown in California, and in 1987, David founded the family-owned company PRI, which became the first to introduce Manuka Honey to the U.S.. Manuka Honey is exclusive to New Zealand (& Australia), so PRI's family-owned beekeepers harvest real Manuka in New Zealand from the Manuka tree (Leptospermum Scoparium). Then, the honey is shipped to their facility in the USA, where they hand-make their mouthwatering manuka candies. In addition to producing authentic & delicious Manuka Honey and candies, PRI proudly supports the conservation efforts for bees in New Zealand.
