Product Reviews

Love it!

This kit worked really well for us! We had very vibrant, beautiful colors using our farm fresh light & dark brown shelled eggs. I wish i could upload a photo. Truely beautiful!! Thanks and I really hope it will be back in stock in the future.
Very good, except the green
This dye kit is very handy. I used to make the dyes myself from fruits and veggies but didn't have time this year. The colors are very vibrant, except for the green. It comes out an olive color. Maybe if you let your eggs sit for several hours the color might deepen. Also, the dye is not completely color fast, which means if you refrigerate your eggs and condensation forms, the color runs.
Owner Response: Hi Lisa, Thanks for the review and feedback on the decorating colors! For the green, we found it looks its brightest immediately after dissolving in water and with a short soak. The longer the green is dissolved in the water the more olive it becomes, in our experience. After it is looking olive, a longer soak will result in a darker olive color. But natural colors can be sensitive. , and we wonder if the water source and the particular eggshell affect the final result, with the green especially. With this green we are excited that it has been the most reliable of any we have tried in the past. Until more recently, natural green colors pretty much looked brown...Making progress! :)
